Description
The TEC Instructor Operator Stations (IOS) software is designed to meet current FAA Commercial Simulators up to Level D. It uses a proven human machine interface design to use all available screen real estate. The system supports two monitors on Windows standard computer. Major software components include:
- IOS Graphical User Interface (GUI)
- Host-based IOS Server
- Pop up keyboards
- FAA Navigation Database unaltered
- Host Interface shared memory or Ethernet
- Out of the box meets FAA requirements
- Maps use GEOTiff Sectional, IFR Enroute, Approach plates, Satellite imagery
- Maps can be added on the fly
- Malfunction uses simple text file based interface
- Approach maps and FAA required Upset and Recovery Plots
- Peek and Poke capability for maintenance
- Text bases button modification and design
- No need for source to add additional capabilities to include host interfacing
